Your doctor says your labs are "normal" — but normal isn't optimal. PLA tracks 50+ biomarkers against longevity-optimized ranges and uses Claude AI to give you evidence-graded recommendations. Free to start.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Geo, the developer behind PLA. Here's the story of why I built this.
The problem that started it:
A few years ago, I got my bloodwork done and my doctor said everything looked "normal." But when I dug into the actual numbers, I found that several markers — my triglycerides, fasting insulin, hs-CRP — were technically within range but nowhere near optimal by longevity medicine standards.
The issue is that standard lab ranges are built from population averages. If 80% of people are metabolically unhealthy, "normal" means you're average — not healthy. Longevity researchers like Peter Attia, Rhonda Patrick, and Bryan Johnson use much tighter ranges that correlate with long-term health outcomes.
I wanted an app that used those ranges. I couldn't find one, so I built it.
What PLA does
PLA tracks 50+ biomarkers — from basic metabolic panels to ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, ferritin, thyroid markers, and more — and scores them against longevity-optimized reference ranges, not just "not sick" thresholds.
On top of that, it connects to Claude AI to analyze your specific combination of results and give you personalized recommendations. Every recommendation is graded on a 6-tier evidence scale (L1 = meta-analysis, L6 = preclinical research), so you always know how confident to be in the advice.
You can import labs by snapping a photo (OCR extracts the values), sync with Apple Health, track trends over time, and get reminders when it's time to retest.
How it's priced
The free tier gives you full manual tracking, the dashboard, trends, and HealthKit sync — no AI, but genuinely useful on its own.
For AI features, there are three paid tiers:
- BYOK ($4.99/mo) — bring your own Anthropic API key and get unlimited AI. This is the "power user" option.
- Lite ($12.99/mo) — we handle the AI, 15 insights + 30 chats + 5 lab imports per month. 7-day free trial.
- Unlimited ($24.99/mo) — unlimited everything. 7-day free trial.
I specifically built the BYOK tier because I wanted a way for technically curious people to try the AI without committing to a managed subscription — you're just paying me $5/month for the app while using your own Anthropic account.
What I'd love feedback on
This is a v1 and there's a lot I want to improve:
1. More biomarkers — I'm working on expanding the panel and would love to know which markers matter most to you
2. Android — it's iOS-only right now, Android is on the roadmap
3. Lab integration — direct connection to Quest/LabCorp is something I'm exploring
4. Reference range citations — I want to make the source for every optimal range visible in the app
If you're in the longevity/biohacking space and have opinions on reference ranges, I'd genuinely love to hear them — this whole project was built on research and I want the community to help improve it.
