Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm the solo maker behind PaperFit.
I built this because I got tired of uploading contracts, IDs, and bank statements to random servers just to merge two PDFs or compress a file for email. PaperFit does all of that right in your browser instead. Nothing gets uploaded. It's free. No sign-up. No watermark.
There are 18 tools in there right now: merge, split, compress, convert to and from images/Word/Markdown, rotate, crop, watermark, page numbers, organize, password-protect, flatten, view, fix margins, and a privacy scanner that strips hidden metadata out of your files. It all runs in JavaScript using pdf-lib and PDF.js, with the Web Crypto API handling real AES-256 password protection. That's what makes it instant, and why it keeps working even after your connection drops.
Don't take my word for the privacy part. Open your browser's network tab while you run a file through it, you'll see your PDF never leaves your machine. (The page does load fonts and an optional analytics script you can turn off through settings, but your document itself never goes anywhere.)
This went live recently and it's a one-person operation, so I'd love the feedback. Throw your ugliest, most broken PDFs at it and tell me what fails. I'm around all day if you want to know how the browser-side processing actually works.

Files stayed on my machine the whole time and the margin fixer worked exactly as advertised, which is honestly rare for a free browser tool.

@neslihanamg43q Really appreciate the feedback! We built PaperFit around the idea that simple browser tools should actually be simple. Everything stays on your device, and I’m glad the margin fixer delivered on what it promised. Thanks for trying it out!

Love that the whole thing runs client-side, no server roundtrip needed. The fact that I can merge and compress a 200-page PDF without a "sign up to continue" wall feels almost rebellious these days.
