How the approach changed along the way: The first version of Pactora made people click through five separate section pages before they ever saw a verdict - ten-plus clicks before the thing they actually wanted. I rebuilt it so all the clause agents run in parallel on upload and you land straight on your risk verdict, with the high-risk items already open. The other shift was realising that flagging a risk isn't the useful part - founders don't want a list of problems, they want to know whether to push back, and how. So every flag now comes with a negotiation ladder: your opening ask, a fallback, and a narrowing position, with a script for each. We also ran a head-to-head test recently against ChatGPT and Claude on a real £54k SaaS contract.
