Hey PH 👋 I'm Rodrigo, a product designer and until recently, someone who had never built an app in his life. OurTime started with a physical card game I stumbled across a while back. I used it on a date once, just to try something different. What happened next surprised me. We went deep fast. Real conversations, the kind you don't forget. That night helped us build a bond that lasted. Months later, he's still my partner. I kept thinking: why do these cards have to be physical? You can't carry them everywhere. Most people will never even discover them. So I decided to make that experience accessible to anyone, anywhere. No cards needed, just a phone. Since I'm a designer I knew how it should look and feel. What I didn't know was how to build it. Turns out, with today's AI tools, that barrier is a lot lower than I thought. I built the entire thing: iOS app, Firebase backend, 1,500+ questions, payment system, admin dashboard, without being a developer. It was the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever made. OurTime is a deep talk card game for couples, dates, and close friends. 8 decks, 3 intensity levels (Light, Deep, and Raw), questions reviewed by relationship therapists. The goal is simple: more real human connection, less small talk, less awkward silence, less dumb scrolling. A huge thank you to my partner for trusting me through this whole journey.
