Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm a predental student at UW-Madison. I built OralCheck because a few years ago, I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that taught me how much can sneak up on you when you're not paying attention. That experience is a big reason I'm going into dentistry and why I built this.
Oral cancer is one of the most underdiagnosed cancers. Its earliest symptoms seem ordinary, whether it be a patch on the tongue or a sore that won't heal. Most people have never thought about their risk. But caught at Stage I, the five-year survival rate is over 80%. Caught late, that number drops sharply.
OralCheck is completely free. Nothing is saved; all scoring happens in your browser. The results point you toward affordable care if your risk is elevated.
It's not a diagnosis. It's a 2-minute nudge that might send someone to a dentist who catches something early.
Happy to answer any questions and open to feedback, especially from anyone in dentistry, public health, or anyone who's been through a cancer scare themselves.
