Opire is a rewards platform for software developers. Anyone can create rewards in open-source projects. Developers solve issues and earn the associated rewards and code owners see their project improved and can earn money if the rewards are created by others.

Hi folks! Iván here 👋 Co-founder of Opire. This project was born with the main objective that anyone can make a living from open-source (an ambitious objective, we know hahaha). Why? ❗️ All existing software depends (to a greater or lesser extent) on open-source projects. ❗️ Developers have no incentive to contribute to open-source projects. ❗️ Code owners end up with burnout due to the excessive time their project requires. For this reason, some of Opire's features are: ➕ Anyone can create rewards with our commands integrated in GitHub. The money could come from a company interested in having an issue resolved or from a random person who has just seen the project. ➕ It is possible to accumulate rewards from one or more people in the same issue. ➕ The organization receives a percentage of the rewards created by others. ➕ We don't keep funds, so people can't lose their money if Opire disappears. We believe that Opire could help a lot of parties: open-source code owners, devs or anyone who wants to see an issue resolved. Install OpireBot 🤖 in your open-source project and start creating rewards to grow your community (or let others do it). Your feedback is more than welcome. We are willing to improve to provide more value to the open-source community.

What a gret idea is this application, wishing to see a lot of developers using it!

As a maintainer of open-source projects, I think this is a fantastic idea. This would help me attract developers who want to get involved in my projects. I don't usually have much time and this way I can focus on doing other things and leave the most cumbersome tasks to other developers. Also the extra % wouldn't hurt me, every little bit helps hahaha. If you create open-source projects that you want to have an impact, try it!
