oMoo is an AI-driven haptic music player that can let everyone touch the pulse, texture, and rhythm of music on their phones. We want to bring the power and beauty of music to everyone, including people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

oMoo
❤ Hey all music enthusiasts and geeks from Product Hunt!
😃 I am super excited to launch oMoo - the music player with Haptic.
Music has been my passion since childhood, thanks to my granny who introduced me to it. Now, as a piano and guitar player, I love performing, but granny's worsening hearing loss made it hard for her to hear my music.
I've explored advanced technologies to restore granny's hearing, but none were effective. She smiled as I played, but she could no longer hear the melodies.
🎵 Inspired by Apple's Haptic Engine, I build oMoo - a totally new music player, to offer a new way to experience music through hand, not just ear.
🧏 I believe oMoo will bring the power and beauty of music to everyone, including people who are deaf or hard of hearing like my granny.

@amiaomomo Support! Haptic music is a revolutionary approach to the music experience, and I am sure oMoo will be able to bring the joy and power of music to more people.
@amiaomomo @lesley_0516 Absolutely! Haptic music is such a brilliant concept. Apple explored it a bit, but what you’re doing feels like the GPT moment for haptic music—next level innovation! 👏🔥

@amiaomomo really impressive concept! i read the maker's story about their granny, very touching. this feels different than just regular phone haptics, like you can actually feel the music structure, not just buzzes. it's a cool way to think about accessibility too. curious to try this with some complex electronic tracks. congrats on the launch! ( ´ ∀ ` )ノ
Congrats on launching oMoo! This is such a sweet and meaningful idea. Letting people feel music through haptics is such a cool way to make music more inclusive.
Quick question: Will oMoo let users feel different types of instruments or adjust the haptics based on the kind of music playing?
oMoo
@marin_artisk thank you for liking it.
for the question, yes these are the additional fuctions inside oMoo, you can experiecn different haptic styles while playing the music. Wish you could download and have an experience!( currently we provide free trail offer😉)

@marin_artisk @amiaomomo Where is the free trial offer? I'd like to recommend it to my friends.
Tempo-Pulse
@marin_artisk Consider trying to "Plastic Love." I can really feel the variety of instruments used in the song.

As a deaf community manager, I get to hear directly from our users every day.
As some users said, “I’m not deaf, but the little boy I babysit is and he loves this. Thank you for making music inclusive.”
That really stuck with me❤️ and we took that to heart: implifying the interface, refining the haptic styles, and continuing to think carefully about how every user, with or without hearing, can enjoy music in their own way.🥰

@amiaomomo Great, please let me join your community. I'm a Chinese user, do you have a Chinese community? I'm really looking forward to sharing oMoo with my Chinese friends.
Tempo-Pulse
@ayuanyuan @amiaomomo Definitely will.
Heartwarming founder's story! btw since oMoo knows what patterns of physical vibrations to make, oMoo and bone-conduction devices would make a good combination. Just pitching idea!
oMoo
@hyuntak_lee You've found it important that some users will turn on oMoo while they're running and strap their phone to their arm, which they say is sporty and improves their performance.
At the same time, we do look at the possibility of combining haptics with bone conduction devices.╰(*°▽°*)╯
@amiaomomo Oh, I personally find even bluetooth earphones quite hassle sometimes when running. It's wonderful that oMoo change that experience!
I consider oMoo already an innovation but with bone-conduction devices it will be at another level!
Tempo-Pulse
@hyuntak_lee You're absolutely right. I just used it for a run, and it made me feel completely different. It gave me more confidence to keep running.
@ayuanyuan I'm giving it a try :) Thanks for letting me know!

I love how thoughtful this product is! What has been the most challenging part of building oMoo, especially with the aim of making it accessible for those with hearing loss?
oMoo
@marianna_tymchuk The most challenging part is the function definition. we are trying to build something new, so there isn't much we can copy.😂
Congratulations on the launch!! I'm deeply touched by your story about building oMoo. All the best to you and oMoo!
