It's a small macOS menu bar app that works with whatever text you select, in any app. No browser extension, no separate chat tab. What it does: • Understand: select any text and Nugumi explains what it really means in plain English. • Rewrite: turn a rough draft into something clear, natural, and error-free. • Reply: select an incoming message and get a reply written in your voice. • Ask Nugumi: press Control twice to ask about anything on screen, like a warning, form, or button, and what to do next. It's app-aware, so the tone adapts to where you are. A Slack message should read differently from a work email. You choose how it runs: • With a ChatGPT or Claude subscription you already pay for • Locally with Ollama, so nothing you select ever leaves your computer, which is great for confidential work • Or with your own API key Nugumi is free, requires no signup, and is open source.
