We begin with the idea of giving recruiters and hiring managers pre-vetted hardware engineers so they save time searching/interviewing. Platforms for sourcing and vetting engineers globally exist for software engineers but is nonexistent for hardware engineers. We heard hardware engineering companies mention they wanted to also easily find quality hardware engineers but weren't sure how. Linkedin's inefficient for employers since anyone can sign up so you don't know who is actually qualified. Recruiters also lack technical skills to evaluate engineering candidates and hiring managers are too busy. Our idea is to have experienced engineers vet candidates and forward qualified engineers to companies to lessen burden on recruiters and hiring managers. We also also realized many brilliant engineers are great technically but lack marketing/network skills so we help them get discovered by verifying their skills/knowledge. Currently we focus on vetting hardware engineers but we are also expanding to mechanical, civil, chemical engineers, and people from other stem backgrounds.
