Hi PH! I'm Cephas, the founder of Newcon. For the past year my team and I have worked on making expert knowledge accessible for anyone, anywhere, on-demand. We’re thrilled to finally share this with you! **Why did I start Newcon?** To be perfectly honest, I just wanted to solve my own problem 🙃 When I was a student 👨‍🎓 , I enjoyed going to conferences, because I wanted to learn from the best. I believe one of the best ways to learn is listening & engaging with amazing keynote speakers 🦸‍♀️ 🦸 at events. Due to limited financial resources, I didn’t have the chance to participate in events, such as Bits and Pretzels, Web Summit, Next Web Conference, or other larger conferences. I realized that I wasn’t alone in facing this problem. Millions of other people around the world also don’t have access to the best experts out there! Although we have Youtube 📹 , many conferences & event organizers aren’t uploading their content and are deciding to not make their content accessible post-event 😔 . I want to change this 💪! Hence, the reason why I started Newcon: Shifted from solving my own problem to the mission of making expert knowledge accessible to anyone, anywhere on-demand. **How are we going to do this? By addressing three key dimension: 1. Democratize location → Where you live shouldn't not matter, you can learn from anywhere. Not all of us can live in San Francisco ;) 2. Elastically scaling access to the best thought leaders - infinity class size to the best of the best thought leaders → 3. Time shifting → What if you can’t make it to make it Tuesday 7:00pm to this event? Barry McCarthy, former CFO of Netflix and Spotify, now CEO of Peloton, and an absolute legend, recently said: "Everything linear dies, everything on-demand wins," which summarizes the future of media and point above quite well. And I believe it’s so true! Newcon is the future of getting infinite access to the best expert knowledge, for an infinite number of people. **A special gift for the PH community 🎁 ** Exclusively for our launch here on Product Hunt, we have created a curated shortlist of the best keynotes presentation from the best experts (Chris Dixon, Brian Armstrong, Li Jin, Pplpleasr etc.) around the topics.
