"Hello Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m Sebastian, and I’m thrilled to finally share Needer with all of you.
The Inspiration: A few years ago, I saw a close friend—an incredibly talented digital artist—lose months of work and over $2,000 because of a malicious chargeback on a major payment platform. The platform sided with the buyer, and there was nothing she could do. That moment got me thinking: In 2026, why is it still so risky to sell digital services?
The Problem: Traditional payment systems aren't built for the digital commission economy. Chargebacks, high fees, and account freezes are the norm. Creators are forced to work on "blind trust," often getting scammed after delivering high-quality work.
Our Approach: We built Needer to make trust automated and decentralized. By using non-custodial smart contracts on Polygon, we created a system where:
1. Funds are secured in escrow before work starts.
2. Chargebacks are technically impossible once the delivery is approved.
3. Creators and clients maintain total privacy and control over their funds.
The Evolution: What started as a simple escrow script evolved into a full platform focused on Verified Creators. We realized that for the ecosystem to work, we needed to vet the talent to ensure clients also felt safe. Today, Needer is a judgment-free, secure space for both SFW and NSFW digital freelancers.
I’d love to hear your thoughts! How do you handle payment security in your freelance work?
I'll be here all day to answer your questions!
