My Reptile Atlas tracks reptile and exotic collections: lineage, pairings, clutches, weights, feeding and sales, with free genetics calculators for ten species including axolotls and sugar gliders. Two things set it apart. The free plan has no animal limit, while most reptile trackers cap free accounts between three and fifty animals. And Ask Atlas answers plain-English questions about your own records, which no other reptile breeding app does. Built and used daily by a working breeder.

Hey Product Hunt,
I breed crested geckos and ball pythons. Five years in, the whole operation still lived in a spreadsheet that got worse every season.
Lineage is what finally broke it. Once you're three generations in and half the parents came from other breeders, a spreadsheet can't answer the only question that matters when you go to sell an animal: what am I actually holding here, and can I prove it?
So I built My Reptile Atlas, and I run my own collection on it every day.
Two things in it I haven't found anywhere else.
The free plan has no animal limit. Every other reptile tracker I've used caps a free account somewhere between 3 and 50 animals, which is a strange place to put a wall. Someone with 60 geckos isn't a business, they're just someone with 60 geckos. Free is unlimited here, and your records stay exportable whether or not you ever pay.
Ask Atlas reads your own records and answers in plain English. "Which females haven't laid this season?" "Who haven't I weighed in two months?" It's read-only, it cannot change anything in your collection, and it doesn't store your questions.
The genetics calculators are free and need no account. Ten species, including axolotls and sugar gliders, which almost nothing covers. Each is built from a named source you can go check: Morphpedia for the reptiles, the Ambystoma Genetic Stock Center for axolotls. Not forum consensus. Where a species genuinely has no proven single-gene morphs, it says so instead of inventing odds.
Plus is $4.99/month and new accounts get 25 days of everything. If you're coming from Product Hunt, the code PRODUCTHUNT gets you 90 days of Plus free.
I'd like to hear from anyone tracking a collection of anything: reptiles, inverts, birds, fish. What does your current system fail at? Lineage is where I keep finding the gaps, but I doubt it's the only one.
