Reminds me of Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music http://techno.org/electronic-mus... :D Was this the inspiration?
It would be great if the playlist/music automatically starts playing.

The website looks great but I'm a little confused about some of the sub-genres. For example, I don't think dubstep has any business being sub-categorized under Drum N' Bass - both have similar roots but Dubstep came from dub and 2-step (hence the name) and is about 20 BPM slower than any Drum N' Bass song. If anything, dubstep should be categorized under breakbeat as it's closer to EDM-Trap or UK Funky in my opinion. Could you explain a bit about your approach to the subcategories?
I've been getting asked about AI and the project I'm the maker of, Crates is High-a Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B record club. I think humans have the sensibilities to do things AI can't, but I'm willing to be learn of new possibilities. Here's our Product Hunt page: https://dig.vnyl.st/app-cratesis... Thoughts?
Love this! There have been many music map like this. But this is the coolest yet richest in context. Awesome job!

Looks great, plays really well. Can't wait for the Spotify playlist support. This is the hub for exploration –something I definitely like to do.

I have not dived/dove in yet... but the problem it targets is something I've been wishing someone would solve for the last two years. Perfectly timed for something I'm working on as well. It will be interesting to see how accurate it is (and how it verifies the accuracy of genre definitions.)

gives a great overview about genres, of course sometimes I would sub-categorize differently...hope there will be more tracks available to listen soon and world music in gereral
