@monstareel the slideshow with stock photos line is the whole problem with this category. so under the hood are the visuals true generated video or ai images with motion on top? that is the line between cinematic and the usual ai reel.
MonstaReel currently uses a two-step AI pipeline — FLUX 1.1 Pro generates a cinematic image frame, then Hailuo-02 (ranked #2 globally for image animation) brings it to life with real camera motion, parallax, and atmospheric movement. The result is significantly more cinematic than a static slideshow, but we'll be transparent — it's image-to-video, not pure text-to-video generation.
Version 2 changes that. We're integrating true text-to-video models (think Sora-class generation) where every scene is natively generated video — no image step, full motion from frame one. The gap between MonstaReel output and a professionally shot reel gets a lot smaller.
