I think all the "to do" app people should get together and make one amazing to do app. There are so many of these that I am sure you can start a to do app developer conference and/or gathering. And it's not that this is not good, but there's so much competition for clean, simple, minimalist to do apps that unless there's some serious effort into marketing it, it will go unused.
@tostartafire I think todo apps are the best way to understand the tech to build an app while providing some value to the user, I agree that there are a lot of simple todo apps now but I think that's ok cause most of them are not commercial apps so not trying to make money it's just sharing something they have created.

@biraj You make a good point. Didn't mean to be negative. I think I have the wrong perception of ProductHunt, as I see it a place for people to show off their "startup" projects and get some free buzz. But I guess some people are just trying to show some of their latest work.
@tostartafire I know exactly what you mean , how I see this as engaging with the community cause if you launch a startup suddenly on PH it most probably would get unnoticed for example (and coincidentally) I also launched a full featured todo web app myself today called tidily.io but most probably you may have not even seen it cause I did not have a lot of connection to get the initial push so it got faded away on the new tab at the bottom, so I think (specially now :P) this is very good and important way to engage with the community :)

@tostartafire As @biraj said, I'm learning Vue.js and I've built this simple to do app, like everybody else does when they learn something new, and I thought I should publish it here on PH, maybe others will benefit from it. @biraj 's app is way better and complex than this app is, I have no idea why is not on top of the list.
