I was in the room when we hit #1 back in May and honestly, I still think about that day a lot. The questions you asked, the feedback you gave, the conversations that started in the comments, all of it mattered more than you probably realize.
So here's what happened after that:
We took every piece of feedback seriously. Over 300 beta units went out to founders, SMB owners, consultants, and knowledge workers across the US, UK, Canada, Germany, and beyond. They used Gem in real meetings, on real calls, in real life. They told us what worked and what didn't. We tweaked the hardware, improved the software, shipped new features, and fixed what needed fixing.
It took longer than we wanted. Hardware always does. But we got there.
Mass production starts now. Shipping begins in August. And before we open this up fully, we wanted to come back here and share the news with the community that believed in us first.

One thing I'd love is a quick voice prompt right after capturing - like being able to flag a moment as "important" or tag it with a project name on the spot. Would make searching way easier later, especially when I'm reviewing a packed week of conversations.

This is going straight to our product team. It fits naturally with where we're taking the app and honestly it's the kind of micro-interaction that makes the whole experience feel more intentional.

Picked one up last week and the cross-meeting linking is genuinely useful, pulling up last quarter's call notes when I was mid-discussion without me searching. Battery has held up through a full day of back to backs so far.

Picked one up last week and the linking thing actually works, pulled up notes from a chat I had two weeks ago without me searching. The clip-on form is way more comfortable than I expected.
