@curiouskitty The deciding question for us was: what happens when someone asks something the summary wasn't written to answer?
A recap says “launch planned for Friday,” but the actual conversation was “Friday, if security signs off.” An agent answering “can I tell the customer Friday?” needs that condition.
That's why we chose record-first. We can't predict what an agent will need to look up later, so we keep the captured screen context and searchable transcript, then build summaries on top. The agent can go back and check what a summary left out.
Can users automatically delete history after a chosen number of days?

@romainlefort Yes! You can set how many days of history to keep, and Luci automatically deletes older records.

@romainlefort Adding to Runze's answer: retention is 7, 30, or 90 days, or keep everything. Since it all lives on your disk, deleting is real deletion, nothing left to purge from a server.
Usually i skip screen recording tools due to battery drain but local first architecture makes this worth trying.

@jennifer_wheatley Thanks Jennifer. Battery is a real trade-off with local processing and we would rather be honest about it than hide it. If you notice a drain on your machine, tell us the model and we will look into it.
I would probably want different retention rules for meetings and general screen activity. Are those settings configurable separately?

@seanfalconer Not yet. You can set screen captures to auto-delete after 7, 30, or 90 days, or keep them indefinitely. There isn’t a separate automatic retention setting for meetings yet, but that distinction makes sense.

@seanfalconer Fair ask. Meetings and screen activity do have different lifespans, and separate retention rules is something we can add. Noted for the roadmap, thanks Sean.
