A free browser-based motion editor for creating, editing and exporting animations. Create animations from scratch, bring designs from Figma, use presets, edit layers, preview your work and export to GIF, MP4, PNG or Lottie. No expensive software...No complicated setup...100% Free Built to make motion more accessible to everyone.
I didn't originally set out to build a motion editor.
A few months ago, I was working on a motion project and kept running into the same problem. The tools I was using either had limitations in their free plans or required me to pay for software just to do something simple.
So I built a tiny tool for myself.
I'm a product designer and wasn't really a developer. I started building it with AI-assisted coding, kept using it, and kept adding things I wished I had in my own workflow.
The tiny tool eventually became LotiqLab.
Today, 300+ people across 40+ countries have used it.
The goal hasn't changed though. I want creating motion to be accessible without needing expensive software or years of experience.
LotiqLab is still completely free, and I'm building it in public
If you try it, I'd genuinely love to know what works, what doesn't, and what you'd want me to build next.

Honestly, the advanced compression is great. I ran the output next to what I normally get from LottieFiles, and the gap was bigger than I expected. Small feature, but it makes a real difference.

@keshavmalik yea i was pretty happy with this one...i wanted the compression to be more than just a basic “minify” button, and more control so I’ve been trying to get the output as close as possible to what you’d expect from dedicated Lottie optimizers. Glad you noticed it!

Well done, I just went through the process to get my logo animated and if I knew this existed it would have been much easier.

@anton_w that’s exactly the kind of thing I wanted to solve... really appreciate you giving it a try, Anton. Hope it saves you some time next time you need to animate something!
