Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built LocalDrop because I needed to convert a batch of family photos from my iPhone to my Windows PC, but I wasn't comfortable uploading them to random "free" conversion sites. I realized most converters are just data-harvesting operations. So I spent the weekend building a version that runs 100% client-side. ⚙️ The Tech: It’s built with Next.js 15 and uses heic2any to handle the conversion logic directly in the browser. I had to implement some aggressive memory management (URL.revokeObjectURL) to handle large batches without crashing the tab. 🛡️ The Promise: No analytics. No tracking pixels. Zero data leaves your device. It’s open-source and free. Let me know what you think! — Jaid
