LaunchFast sounds incredible, André! The ability to set up a production-ready app in minutes with all the features and security built-in is a dream come true for developers. I’m excited to try it out and see how it can streamline my workflow. Thanks for creating such a powerful tool! 🙌
@ashley_biju1 Thanks for such nice words Ashley 🙏
Please let me know how it goes, what you end up creating, and if you have any trouble! I'll be here to help out 🙌
Also love that you've launched Tweetlio CRM a few days ago, right?

why would anyone start a SaaS from scratch from now on?
Hey congrats on the launch. The terminal script is great and it looks pretty easy to use !
Some things you could improve I think :
- No way to accept payment right now (I know it's coming soon but if I build an app I would like to sell my products directly and not wait)
- Out of the box the lighthouse report is better with Shipfast (Not sure if it's Next.js vs Remix or some small updates you could make)
- Why would I need to setup all this if 99% of the time my apps have minimum to no success ? Real question what are the positive aspects of adding testing, auto deployment and all that to an app that often get no users.
- I don't like the UI, not gonna lie, again with Shipfast you can get a clean ui and focused on selling your product. (Even Shipfast could be improve, I'm not a fan of DaisyUI). But I fell like your components could be improved a lot. (Add me on Twitter if you want to discuss a bit that).
I would like to point that I like the fact that you're trying to offer an alternative to Shipfast that use a different approach with more control.
@noeschmidt Hey Noé, thank you so much for your feedback!
Here's my take.
Stripe payments (one-time, recurring, and metered) are coming soon. You can see what's coming on the landing page roadmap.
Lighthouse is not a good tool for measuring performance. Well-known fast websites perform badly in tests. I will eventually add best-practice performance profiling to the docs. I can notify you when that's online.
>> Why would I need to setup all this if 99% of the time my apps have minimum to no success?
Well, if you have that low success rate, take a look at Jobs-to-be-done. Tony Ulwich and Bob Moesta are particularly interesting characters to learn from. They teach us how to look at the market from a problem-space lens, instead of a solution-space lens.
I often tell my students and mentees that it's not worth trying to solve a problem we don't yet understand. Tony and Bob are the cure for that.
Regarding the technical aspect: there's nothing for you to set up.
One of the design principles of LaunchFast is being non-intrusive. Don't want monitoring? It's disabled by default and it won't get in your way. Want to enable it? Just paste your Sentry-DSN into your .env vars. Same with analytics, payments, AI, OAuth, and email.
Testing is different: testing is enabled by default. If you don't want to write tests for the new functionality you write, you don't have to. But all built-in functionality is tested. If you'd like to disable the tests for the current functionality, you can comment them out, but except for saving maybe 1 minute during your deployment, I don't see a good reason why one would do this.
Regarding the UI, yeah, that's fair. I've done my best, but I see a lot of room for improvement too 😄 I was working on verveui.pro before working on LaunchFast, so the UI will get a massive improvement over time.
Thank you! I try to deliver as much non-intrusive control as possible. My goal is simple: to give web developers the power to build beautiful, high-quality, and scalable web apps. My hope is that using LaunchFast makes developers feel a sense of joy and productivity ✨
Thank you for your words my friend!
