Love this to bits! Super work guys - this will be really helpful to researchers (seeing some of these tools brings back good memories from my research days ;)) What do you guys think about having a section for areas that currently have a gap in good tools (so that the tech community can see where current potential pain points and opportunities are)?
@aidhashaikh That's a brilliant idea! As the platform matures, we're indeed starting to have a clearer picture of technology trends and where things are headed. But just as you suggest, it would definitely make sense to post the flip side of that and where good tools are needed. We would love to try and tackle this because we're really in this unique position help guide the growth of this ecosystem more efficiently. Thanks for your spectacular enthusiasm and ideas, it's what fuels of our drive :))
Impressive progress since I last visited this platform. Can you guys explain a bit further about the following:
1. How do you see yourself grow?
2. Any thoughts on monetization?
Wishing you best of luck
@yam_regev Thanks for keeping an eye out over the platform and for your kind support!
Regarding your questions..
1. We're still experimenting with several options. One very promising direction that we are seeing great indications in our preliminary tests is using the platform as an educational resource for bioinformatics teaching instructors preparing young researchers with the tools they need to get started on their research track. We hope this will also train them in the benefits of using LabWorm for their routine tool consumption needs.
2. Regarding the monetization, we're also experimenting with several models here and it looks like a certain combination of premium features for listed companies are showing good indications.

Nice concept. They have some unique UX touches that hopefully others could pick up on ;) Showed this to my science geek friends and they were Wowed, said it was really useful. Great job guys!
Thanks @benlang for the hunt!
Hello Product Hunt! I’m Alon, one of the makers of LabWorm.
We’re really excited to be featured on Product Hunt. We love this platform 😍, so much so in fact that we translated it to science, i.e LabWorm, a Product Hunt for science.
Life science research is going digital and booming with online tools that are critical for research. However it’s hard to find the best and newest tools due to redundancy and fear of choosing a tool with a faulty algorithm that could lead to wasting 2 years (actually happened!! 😫 ), as well as finding support for these really hard to use tools.
To solve these problems we would normally consult our friends, which is why we thought that crowdsourcing was the way to go, especially in order to try and change the competitive and isolated nature of research.
We hope making powerful tools accessible to all researchers helps accelerate scientific research and that you (or your researcher friends) will enjoy and take part in our community!
Ask me anything 😋

Love this! Excited to watch the impact of digital tools being shared from all of the sciences, collected centrally and evaluated by cross-disciplinary peers. So much development in the sciences is redundant across genres while a plethora of life and even universe altering discoveries await us. I hope that products like LabWorm foster an augmented stream of innovative interdisciplinary R&D throughout the sciences.
@kkdub We love your vision and fully share it. There are so much innovation and universe altering discoveries right around the corner that are waiting to be made. I like your idea of cross-disciplinarity and bringing down borders. We are very anxious to approach additional science fields and to explore how this can spur collaboration across disciplines. That's where the best discoveries are made. We will be happy even if we help nudge innovation and discovery in this direction and brought about faster, even if it's just a little bit.

I like design of the site. I would like to see a bit more consistency around grammar and syntax. For example there's an overuse of the ampersand, titles use capitalization inconsistently and journals is spelled wrong. These are secondary to a great site with healthy traffic so great job!
