Knuff is a family check-in app that makes it easy to see how your loved ones are doing, even when life gets busy. Create a bubble with your most important people and share quick check-ins to stay connected wherever life takes you. For families and friend groups of all ages. Core features free, optional paid add-ons available. For iOS and Android.

Knuff started with a simple scenario: “Has anyone checked on Aunt Martha today?”
The original idea came from a very familiar situation: using a family group chat to check whether an elderly relative is doing okay. We knew there had to be a simpler way to answer that question.
But as we developed Knuff and started talking to more people about the idea, something interesting happened. Again and again, people could immediately think of someone they would want in their own bubble... a relative recovering from surgery, adult children starting university, a friend who recently gave birth, or family members living far away.
That helped shape Knuff into what it is today: a simple way to check in with the people you care about, whoever they are.
We're really excited to finally share it. Who you would put in your Knuff bubble and why? 🥑💚
@gabi_mcinnes Congratulations on the launch! this is a really nice concept especially if a group chat is overwhelming. i've seen this trend in china where people who are living solo has to check in once in a while.
We have a family chat for that purpose)) But the project's concept is interesting, too
@maria_anosova We have a family chat too 🙂 but from personal experience, we’ve found that group chats can sometimes be too much. You have to think of something to write, keep up with all the messages, and actually open the chat, which doesn’t work for everyone, especially if you’re busy or more of a lurker 😅
The idea behind Knuff is a little different: it’s a quick “I’m okay” check-in, with the whole family’s latest check-ins visible at a glance. And most importantly, it can alert you when someone hasn’t checked in for a while. So for us, it’s more of a complement to the family chat than a replacement 💚🥑
@gabi_mcinnes I totally get what you're talking about (I'm the one running all these chats))) and yes, there are days when things are quiet.

can people put emotions so that when you see they're sad, you can cheer them up?
@heyitsirenechan that’s a great idea 🤗 emoji reactions work right now but emoji statuses is definitely worth looking into 👀
