Our family recipes used to live in a search bar. My wife Jessica and I would look the same recipe up again, scroll past the ads, and print it on whatever paper was handy. With kids in the house, that page never even made it to the next time.
I build websites and apps for a living, so eventually the frustration won.
Kin & Kettle is what I built for us. Each family gets a private collection everyone can add to. Cooking mode shows one step at a time with just that step's ingredients and keeps the screen awake. Double a recipe and 3 tsp. becomes 2 tbsp. Then print full size pages or postcards with a QR code that opens the recipe, or a whole cookbook on paid plans.
It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. The Starter plan is free to keep. It's not a trial, and there's nothing to cancel.
