Stop gambling on used cars. KickTheTires.ai is a vehicle history report that uses AI to analyze any listing and surface red flags in minutes—no mechanic appointment needed. Perfect for first-time car buyers, people buying online, car flippers (my favorite)

Storytime! I'm Yousif, one of the makers of KickTheTires.ai.
I needed to move from California to NYC with my project car. UHaul wanted $5,300 for a truck rental. A rental. Something I wouldn't even own. As a hacker and someone who's owned 100+ cars, I thought "why not just buy a truck?"
Problem: I knew cars, not trucks. I built the first version of this tool to analyze truck listings in my area. Found a 2001 GMC Sierra (pictured) for $5,300, drove it cross-country (ignoring a center support bearing issue the tool flagged 😅), then sold it for $6,800.
I made $1,500 profit moving my stuff across the country because I knew exactly what I was buying and what it was worth. That's when I realized if this works for a car guy buying outside his expertise, imagine what it does for regular people buying ANY used car.
So I rebuilt it for everyone. Now you don't need to own 100 cars to spot a good deal.

@thecarguy I like that it’s priced like an impulse buy but designed like a decision tool: comps-based offer range + model/year red flags + citeable repair costs. Clean positioning.
@rubyyyy I appreciate that. That's one of the things we were laser focused on: positioning!
I just tried this out for a car I was considering buying on Cars and Bids, an auction platform. I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm pretty floored by the depth of data. I had a rough estimate of what I was willing to pay, but Kick the Tires solidified my assumption. But more importantly it showed all the upcoming maintenance I'll need to do after purchasing it and how much that'd cost.
You might need to offer an unlimited plan for folks like me that are out looking at cars all day!
@sarathmanuel a result of car people building for car people! Glad you love it, not glad that it may fuel more addictive car shopping 😅
This is super cool tool, will try it out, thank you for making it available!
@david_chen37 if you have any questions, let us know!
AI being used for something useful for a change. Definitely gonna try it out. Cheaper than a Carfax
@brian_meredith appreciate you, Brian!
Super proud of this! If you're in the market for a used car, or just want to learn more about you're current one, I highly recommend checking this out.
(PS: Hit me up if you need more credits!)
I've been working on this for a long time and I'm stoked to share it with everyone! I'm not even a car guy and I love seeing what issues I'm going to be paying for in the future with my current car.
Ingenuity meets practical application. Sharing with my car enthusiast friends!
@jenn_wall4 I’d love to here what you all think 👀
