I’m the maker of Khatago. I’m so excited to share what we’ve been working on with all of you today! The Backstory Khatago was born out of pure frustration. As a developer doing freelance work and running projects, I spent way too much time dealing with invoicing. The existing solutions in India (like Tally, Vyapar, or MyBillBook) felt like they were designed for enterprise accounting departments or traditional brick-and-mortar shops. They were slow to load, clunky to navigate, and made simple billing feel like a chore. I just wanted to generate a beautiful, clean GST invoice in under 30 seconds and send it to my client on WhatsApp. Since I couldn't find a tool that felt fast and clean enough, I decided to build it. What we built: Instant Billing: Generate professional tax or proforma invoices in seconds. Auto-Cataloging: Invoices and purchase bills automatically update your inventory items and outstanding ledgers. Smart GST Calculations: Automatically determines CGST/SGST vs IGST splits based on the client's state code. Team Collaboration: Add up to 5 team members to help record purchases and bills under one account. Privacy & Security: Fully secured data and multi-tenant ledger isolation. How our process evolved: One of the most exciting aspects of building Khatago was our development flow. We literally built this app hand-in-hand with AI. By utilizing Google AI Studio (Gemini) and a local coding agent called Antigravity, we were able to write clean code, handle edge cases, and push features to GitHub at a speed that would normally take a team of five developers. It completely changed my perspective on how fast a single founder can take a product from zero to launch. Khatago is live today at khatago.in. would love to see recurring invoice scheduling for monthly retainers, that would save me from manually sending the same invoice every month to my long term clients

The 10-second invoicing pitch got me hooked. One thing that would make this a no-brainer for me is adding automatic TDS calculation and a separate section for reverse charge transactions, since most agency payments from larger clients fall under that. Would save me a ton of reconciliation work every quarter.
