Congrats on the launch!! I like the clean writing vibe and the fact that it can be used offline while keeping everything stored locally.
One thing I noticed while testing was that the side panels are pretty sensitive on hover. The notes panel closes almost instantly when I try to move into it and the audio picker sometimes disappears before I can select anything. Also had spell check turned on, but didn't see any typo highlights in the editor.

@etiennegarcia Thanks a lot, Etienne. And really appreciate you testing it properly. The side panel hover issue makes sense — I’ll add a small delay/safer hover area so it doesn’t close too quickly. I’ll also check the spellcheck behavior in the editor.

Congrats on the launch :) The "opens instantly, no account, works offline" angle is the part I'd lean into hard, that's where it actually feels different from opening a heavy notes app.
Honest question as a fellow maker: the calm writing space is a crowded room (iA Writer, Bear, Obsidian...). What's the one thing you'd want someone to remember Justwrite for? The ambient scenes caught my eye, that feels like the most "yours" feature here.
Wishing you a great launch day.

@keirodev Thanks a lot, Kévin. That’s a very fair point. I want JustWrite to be remembered as a small writing space that opens instantly, works offline, and doesn’t ask anything from you before you start writing. The ambient scenes are definitely something I want to make more personal and useful, not just decorative.

@manish_vishwakarma11 That's the right instinct on friction, but iA Writer and Bear also open fast and work offline, so that alone won't be the memorable line. The ambient scenes are still the one thing that's actually yours, so "more personal and useful" is the part worth sharpening. What would that look like concretely, scenes that shift with time of day, or with what you're writing? That's the detail that turns a nice touch into the reason people remember Justwrite :)

the local-first test i actually trust — can i open my notes without the app running. plain .md on disk i own beats an opaque local db every time; that's the line between 'offline' and 'actually mine.'

@qifengzheng This is a really good point. I agree, owning the actual file matters a lot. Plain .md export/import is definitely something I want to improve so the notes feel truly yours, not locked inside the app.

Nice product. Love the simple UI and export feature. Why not give an export to PDF and Word option. Love it though.

@its_tarun Thanks a lot, Tarun. PDF and Word export makes sense, especially for people who want to share or submit their notes somewhere. I’ll definitely explore adding those options.

Nice tool for quick jotdowns. UTF-8 support is appreciated for serious note exports in Indian languages.

@krishna_durbha Thank you so much. UTF-8 support is important, especially for Indian languages, so I’m glad you noticed that. I’ll keep improving exports and language support.

Locking the writing session with a timer is a smart constraint. Most writing tools add more features, but sometimes the real problem is just staying with the blank page long enough to get words out.

@farrukh_butt1 Exactly. That’s what I was thinking while adding it. Sometimes the problem is not the editor, it’s just staying with the blank page for a few minutes without escaping.

Local-first writing is still underrated for unfinished thinking. Draft notes, specs, prompts, and private business planning often need to exist before they are polished enough for a cloud workspace; offline ownership changes the way people are willing to write honestly.

@krekeltronics Absolutely agree. Some thoughts are too early or too private for a cloud workspace. That’s one of the main reasons I wanted JustWrite to feel like a quiet local space first.
