I used Vercel to deploy and host JobDone’s Next.js web application. It gave me a straightforward way to publish updates and iterate on the product, allowing me to focus more of my development effort on the workflows Australian trade businesses need. My background is in CRM and CMS systems, and JobDone applies that experience to customer management, quoting, scheduling and invoicing. Vercel supports the office-facing web experience, which complements JobDone’s separate offline-capable field app. That combination supports my vision of making capable trade software more accessible, with affordable paid plans and a free option for tradies starting out.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm the person behind JobDone.

The idea is simple: the details in a quote should still be useful when the office schedules the work and when the crew goes out to do it. Everything should be on desktop and mobile, and the tools behind the work should be connected rather than spread across separate apps. JobDone links enquiries, quotes, schedules, job records, invoices and payments for Australian trade businesses, so a tradie can replace several systems with one.

What sets us apart is that we don't hold core features back to push you onto a bigger plan. Every paid plan gets the whole system on desktop and mobile: enquiries, quoting, scheduling, field records, variations, automations, invoicing and payments. That's the same for a sole trader just starting out and for a growing crew. The Free plan has the same workflow with a monthly job limit. The only extras that cost more are the ones with real running costs: SMS, AI assistance and Compliance packs.

Tradies: which feature did your job management software put behind a higher plan?

G'day all,

JobDone is job management software for Australian trade businesses. Before we built it, we kept hearing the same complaint: someone signs up for a job management app, gets comfortable with it, and then finds the feature they need is only on the next plan up. Often that's enquiries, automations, the mobile app or proper job records.
