Nice execution and the developer docs are genuinely well written. I'll say the thing though. A tool holding my entire employment history and job search needs to be open source or at least source available, full stop. Self-hosting is the only real answer to the "what if you shut down" problem, exports are a consolation prize. The moment there's an AGPL repo I can run in my homelab, I'm your loudest advocate. Until then I'm rooting for you from the sidelines.

I get it, I self-host half my own life (Nerves devices, local LLM, the whole homelab religion are just the few examples).
No AGPL repo planned right now. I'm a solo dev and the hosted product is how this survives, I'd rather be upfront than string you along with "someday".
Two things though.
The tracker part of JobCubby is deliberately not a hostage: full JSON export anytime, MCP API for everything, so your data is one script away from any system you'd build at home.
And increasingly the value isn't the CRUD, it's the shared layer: a lot fresh job postings, market stats, matching, the stuff that only works because it aggregates across users. That part wouldn't survive in a single-tenant homelab anyway.
If I ever open-source a piece, it'll be the tracker core, and you'll hear it here first.
