Hi. I'm Injila: one person, one laptop, I'm not trying to build the next unicorn here. I'm trying to make sure fewer 17-year-olds pick "engineering" purely because their cousin did well in it. That's it. That's the whole ambition. The data says,
1) Only 8.25% of Indian graduates end up in a job that actually matches their qualifications.
2) An estimated 38% of Indian graduates are in an "educational mismatch": studying something that doesn't line up with their actual aptitude.
3) 93% of Indian students can name fewer than 10 careers that even exist. Not "fewer than 10 they'd consider," fewer than 10, period.
I am just trying to reduce this number of educational unemployment in India.
I am definitely going to recommend this to a few of my cousins and friends' children.
I wish i had something like this when evaluating my academic options. The "career counsellors" in my town were no good. Bringing access to a top career counsellor to every kid could have a huge impact.
