Need to find a way to prevent my wife from knowing that I'm using Hey stoke :P while she may think I can remind myself on important moments.

@oldmann thanks Ace! While it might be a secret weapon, our research tells us partners are in full support of you using an app like this. If it makes you better, why not?!?!
Hey Stoke,
How does Stoke personalize the gift and date suggestions? Are these based on the partner's preferences tracked over time?
Congrats on the launch!

@kyrylosilin yes that's a huge part of what we've built! We've elegantly allowed users to store and track key information and then we use that info along with some kindling (heh heh) to create highly personalized and relevant gift suggestions.
With billions of sku's, it's incredible what Stoke can find for you. I had no idea that a Harry Potter chess board was even a thing!

Might just be me but doesn't this feel a bit like outsourcing your relationship, seems like trusting an app with personal reminders and date ideas could lead to less genuine connections, what do you think about adding more customizable features so it feels more personal and less automated?

I see what you're trying to do, but doesn't it feel like we might be relying a bit too much on technology to figure out our relationships, what happens to good old-fashioned communication these days? maybe instead of tracking all these details we need to focus on actually talking to our partners, ever thought about adding a feature for guided conversations or something like that?

@fluttrdevjoff great insight Joffrey and our relationship with technology is indeed a double-edged sword. Nothing replaces the human connection that all relationships need in order to thrive. Stoke isn't designed to replace any of that or make it unnecessary. Rather, it's the opposite. Stoke is there to bring ideas to life. Stoke doesn't replace the connection. It replaces the post it notes, the digital notes, the "don't forget to remember..." reminders you try to plant in the back of your head. A lot of us are already using some form of tracker to store a lot of this stuff. Stoke just makes it easier and then helps you use that information to improve that quality time you have with your partner. Thank you for the feedback!

So another relationship app trying to do what Love Nudge and Relish are already on, it's all fine and dandy to leverage AI, but does this really make relationships better, what about the personal touch, has technology gone too far in this area? Would love to see features that challenge users to connect organically, like in-person activities that don't rely on reminders and automated suggestions

@asiaexpertvp we don't see it the same way. In fact, Stoke is an app designed for someone else. We're huge fans of love languages and understanding all of that to help make your relationship better, and Stoke does touch on this. But it's really built so you can build up intelligence on your partner and Stoke helps you use that intelligence to help make your relationship stronger, whether your partner loves quality time, gifts, acts of service, physical touch or words of affirmation. You can use Stoke to help you in so many ways.
Also, the app is huge on in person activities. Here's a small sampling of ideas Stoke gives you:
- Map out a nice evening stroll for us
- Help me design a spa-at-home experience for us
- Plan a picnic surprise
- Plan a date that's atypical and different
- Spice up our weekend chores
You and I will get very different recommendations based on our partner's likes/dislikes/wants/needs and our relationship. It's pretty cool!

Found it on an ad and tried it out, but I'm not sure if we really need an app to remind us to show love, feels a bit forced, maybe add features to help us understand our partner better instead?

@stratafrica15 one of the best features we have in Stoke is the ability to chat with Stoke. Stoke knows your partner based on the inputs you've provided, so you can ask it for advice and we think it's pretty darn helpful!
