Unlike other tutor matching services, we care about the student's development after they are matched with our tutors. We're involved in every phase of their learning, providing feedback to the parent after each session, and following up to make sure their needs are always fulfilled. Compared to traditional tutoring business, we strive to be transparent about our prices and pay our tutors top rates. We also build tools for tutors to easily manage their sessions, payments, and maintain their relationship with clients (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/...). The idea is to keep our tutors happy so they provide the best quality service to our customers.

Absolutely, @eamonn_carey. We take privacy very seriously and follow industry best practices for data management. The student data is persisted in an encrypted form and we take all the necessary measures to ensure that only parents can have access to the feedback. Other than that, we comply with COPPA and only collect data about students under 13 from their parents with consent.

Hi @charleslacombe. Usually you will get up to 2 matches within 24 hours. Matches are ranked so you'll only get the best two tailored for your request. If one of your matches is booked by other students, we will automatically match you with the next highest ranked tutor that's ready to help you.

@josephlstalcup Hi Joe. Yes, we meet every tutor before onboarding them. Tutors usually submit an application on our website. We screen applications based on their tutoring experience, subject expertise and location (we currently prioritize tutors who can teach in NYC). If they pass the screening, we invite them to our office for an interview to learn more about their teaching and communication style.
