OpenClaw is the backbone of GoClaw. We evaluated several open-source AI assistant frameworks, but OpenClaw stood out for three reasons: Multi-channel out of the box — WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and Slack support without needing separate plugins or integrations. Most alternatives only support one or two channels. WebSocket RPC protocol — OpenClaw's gateway protocol made it possible to build real-time chat, streaming responses, and remote configuration from a mobile app. Other frameworks required SSH or CLI access for everything. Lightweight and self-hostable — It runs in a single container with minimal resources, which let us offer affordable managed deployments and makes self-hosting accessible to anyone. Without OpenClaw, GoClaw simply wouldn't exist. It's the engine — we just built the dashboard and the mobile app around it.
