GlowDNA is a personalized beauty intelligence platform that integrates skincare, haircare, makeup compatibility, color analysis, behavioral tracking, and longitudinal beauty monitoring into one unified beauty program. The platform was created to address increasing consumer dissatisfaction with generic beauty recs and influencer-driven product marketing. GlowDNA prioritizes science-backed compatibility and individualized recs based on each user’s unique features, lifestyle, budget, and goals.

I created GlowDNA after becoming increasingly frustrated by how overwhelming and inconsistent the beauty industry had become. I saw how much beauty advice focused on viral trends, affiliate recommendations, and generalized routines while ignoring individual differences like undertones, sensitivities, skin barriers, porosity, lifestyle, and environmental factors. As a neuroscientist, I wanted product recommendations that have real clinical data or meet the active ingredient criteria, all personalized to me. GlowDNA was built to create a more personalized and science-backed approach to beauty that helps users understand themselves rather than blindly follow trends.
THE SOLUTION
GlowDNA analyses skin, hair, colour season and makeup from a single photo, delivering a GlowScore across ten sub-metrics and personalised recommendations cross-referenced against ~3 million cosmetic products and a live PubMed clinical library. Every recommendation cites its source. No brand affiliations. No commission structures. The $14 drugstore option is recommended when the evidence supports it.
DIFFERENTIATION
• Brand-agnostic infrastructure with no product-line conflict of interest
• Full Monk 1–10 skin tone scale (most platforms use 3 broad categories)
• Live PubMed citations at scan time — not a static database
• Four-system integration: skin + hair + colour + makeup in one profile
• Weekly tracking and progress narrative, not a one-shot read
• ABCDE lesion screening — flags clinical concerns for dermatologist review
• Shelf audit to photograph what you own, we tell you keep / swap / cut
• Virtual try-on for foundation, blush, lip & eye shades pulled from your palette
• Monthly 1:1 routine review
