I’ve watched Muharrem working tirelessly on GlobAI for months, sometimes late into the night. As someone who’s not deeply technical, even I can see how powerful this idea is: connecting people’s unused computers to run big AI models instead of relying only on giant data centers.

As an electrical engineer with 25 years in the solar energy industry, I’m always fascinated by projects that challenge the status quo of centralized infrastructure.
GlobAI’s concept of distributed AI computing feels very similar to how solar transformed energy production — decentralizing power generation and giving individuals a chance to participate.
The idea of tapping into unused computing resources to run demanding AI models makes a lot of sense, both technically and environmentally. I believe solutions like this could reduce the need for massive new data centers and lower the carbon footprint of AI.
