Gistline started with a spark of inspiration.

I’m a CS student, and one day, I found myself scrolling through endless news and trending topics.

There was always something happening in the world. But even after reading dozens of headlines, I often felt like I was missing the bigger picture.

That little frustration sparked an idea.

At first, it was just a thought. But it kept coming back to me. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to turn it into something real.

So I started building.

The journey hasn't been easy. Turning an idea into an actual product meant figuring things out along the way, facing challenges I hadn't anticipated, and learning far more than I expected.

There were times when the distance between what I imagined and what I could actually build felt pretty big.

But step by step, Gistline became real.

It’s an iOS app that uses AI to help people understand the stories behind the headlines — with context, timelines, and related events, all in one place.

I know it’s still early. There’s so much I can improve, and I have a lot left to learn.

But looking back, I know every step has been worth it.

Now, I have one small goal:

Find my first 1,000 users. 🌱

Not because I think Gistline is perfect, but because I want to find people who believe this idea is worth exploring with me.
