What do you think? …

Samuel Pitonak
I am an analog-first human being. There are cases when I don't have my paper journal with me or I need more insight into data that I've captured over time. This is where compute comes in handy. I thought there were already too many habit tracking apps but it turned out I needed to build one myself. One that would allow me to glance at my balance and track Apple Health data directly from the wrist.

I get the appeal here. Most habit trackers feel bloated, but this seems focused on essentials while still giving insights when you need them. The Apple Watch angle makes it practical for everyday use.

Congrats on the launch! πŸš€

Axis feels very intentional. How do you see it standing apart from other habit tracking apps out there?

Samuel Pitonak

@jason123Β thanks! Truly minimalist approach via Apple Watch-only support + full integration with Apple Health.

Talshyn Nova

Thank you for offering such a product πŸ₯³ Looking to the future, how do you see the product evolving? Do you plan to introduce alternative habits or "advanced" versions of the framework, or is the beauty of the app that it will always remain this focused and intentional? 😊

Samuel Pitonak

@talshynΒ appreciate your interest :)

  • iOS support mainly for providing support around data control (import/export) which is impossible to do on watchOS-only app at this stage of development.

  • What would be really awesome to see is ideas from people and what habits are foundational to their life - especially if it needs to be balanced meaning every important area of life to a human has required attention every day. This could potentially mean extending the app in a way that allows flexibility in what habits can be tracked.

  • However, I have certainty that I am going to build on top of habits app allows to track right now - Rise, Move, Frog, Play, Bond, Next. Every day follows this circle. Also, every human has different rhythm so app has to be configurable. In this regard, I am planning to make Presets as an additional configuration layer to Active Days feature that there is already.

  • Other area is automations - automatically marking habits in the framework as completed based on criteria from Apple Health / integrations.

  • Live Activity support so whenever there is pending reflection, user knows about it on the watch but also on all other devices connected to their account.

  • ...likely many other ideas I don't know about at this point!

Glad you asked and hope my comment is insightful. Also, my roadmap is public here so feel free to check it out!

@sampittkoΒ appreciate your super transparent and insightful response πŸ™πŸ½ The public roadmap is a great touch. Can't wait to see what's next!

Can we also add reading books? πŸ‘€

Samuel Pitonak

@busmark_w_nikaΒ app focuses on the 3 main areas of life (Move for health, Play for wealth and Bond for relationships) + Rise (waking up at the right time), Frog (doing the toughest thing first thing in the morning) and Next (evening reflection + planning for next day). Together, they represent a habit tracking framework that I've personally used for the past 2,5 years. Reading books is more niche but if it sets the rhythm for your daily life, then it could make sense to add that too. Would be curious to hear!

Minimalism and habits? That’s my way, haha. All the best team πŸ™
Samuel Pitonak

@tommenΒ thanks!

Eric

It's a great idea to divide my life into six habits! I think it can help me focus on life as a whole rather than breaking them down.

Samuel Pitonak

@fei_li5Β it's a bit more strategic this way. Not being bothered by the details as much.
