Freshreader

Freshreader

A read-it-later service where items disappear after 7 days.

Freshreader lets you save content from all around the web to read it later, and will automatically let go of items after 7 days. No more reading list so large you dread opening it. Read what you find interesting, then let go of the rest. ✌️

What do you think? …

This is very much a "scratch your own itch" product. I used to have Pocket and Instapaper accounts, except I'd never reach "inbox zero", so I'd dread opening the apps and seeing how much stuff was in there. Freshreader automatically lets go of saved items after 7 days. No more anxiety. Only fresh content. :)

@vaillancourtmax Any plans for mobile?
Maxime Vaillancourt
@edward1 Yes. Not sure what form it'll take yet, though (native app, PWA, etc.).

@edward1 Hey Edward, v1.0.0 of the Android app is out now. Feedback and suggestions welcome! Bug reports too 🐛 Get the .apk here: https://github.com/freshreader/a..., and tell your Android-user friends! Cheers ✌️

@vaillancourtmax Hi, I downloaded it. Whenever I try and save my account number I get "Failed to save"
Maxime Vaillancourt
@edward1 Hey Edward, assuming that your account exists and that you typed in your account number correctly in the app, I'm not sure why it's not working. When you have some time, send me a DM on Twitter (https://twitter.com/vaillancourtmax), we'll look into it!

Man, I always have tons of articles queued up and like you said; my "Save later" app never reaches 0 inboxes. I'm going to give a try on this, but I don't like using bookmark for save later (more screen real estate lol) Tell me when you release the extension
Maxime Vaillancourt
@jake_tran Hey Jake, quite a late reply, but the browser extension is now ready (Firefox and Chrome). Take a look here: https://github.com/freshreader/b... Cheers!
