Every time I wanted to sketch out a room layout — whether planning a home renovation or just rearranging furniture — I'd either end up paying for bloated software I didn't need, or wrestling with tools that felt like they were designed in 2009. I wanted something dead simple: open a browser tab, drag in some furniture, see if it fits. No account. No paywall. No download. What started as a weekend project quickly grew into something much more complete. The thing that surprised me most was how much the details matter in a tool like this — snap-to-wall so your sofa actually sits flush against the room edge, snap-to-components so you can align pieces precisely, and labels that rotate and resize with your layout rather than floating around awkwardly. The component library now covers 38 items across 7 categories, and I've tried to make everything feel tactile and intuitive — the kind of tool you can hand to someone who's never used it and they just... get it.
