It started from a small thing that kept happening. I'm in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini all day, and every now and then one of them gives me something I really want to keep. A clean explanation, a decision I'd just talked myself into, a snippet I'll need next week. Then it's gone. Scrolled past, buried three chats deep. I thought it was an organizing problem, so I started with folders. Folders didn't fix it. The thing I wanted to keep was never the whole chat, it was four lines inside a long one. So Foldif turned into something else: you highlight the lines worth keeping, leave a note next to them, and pull the good parts into a "book" you'll actually open again. Works across all three tools, catches the to-dos hiding in your chats, no API key. After 17 years of code, the hard part hasn't been building it. It's getting it in front of the right people.
