Focen runs silently in your menu bar and figures out when you're working. After some activity in your work apps, it starts tracking a session automatically. When you drift to Instagram, YouTube, or a game, it gives you a grace period, then closes the tab and brings you back. If you've been working for 90 minutes straight, it locks your screen for 5 minutes and makes you take a real break. Everything stays on your computer. Just a dot in your menu bar that pays attention so you don't have to.

I built Focen because I kept opening Instagram in the middle of essays and losing an hour without noticing. Every focus app I tried asked me to set timers, build blockers, or maintain streaks.
Unfortunately, I'm too lazy for that, so they don't work.
I just wanted something that watched what I was doing and stepped in when I drifted, so I made one. Focen auto-detects your work sessions, and when you've been on a distraction site too long it closes the tab and pulls you back. Everything's local, and I'd love to hear what you think.
