Fluenly helps you practice a new language through guided speaking scenarios. To make practice engaging, scenarios are based on real news articles, helping you to stay motivated while building a deeper connection to the culture and everyday life of the countries where your target language is spoken.

Hello Product Hunt,
I’m the maker of Fluenly.ai.
One problem that I see about language learning is that many tools help us study grammar or vocabulary, but far fewer help us practise speaking in a calm, controlled, and engaging way.
Some people use ChatGPT Voice, which is great for advanced language learners, but it works like a live call, you have to respond right away, there’s no one-click option to translate replies, and it can be hard to know what to talk about so beginners can find it tough.
That’s the gap I wanted Fluenly to fill.
Fluenly is a web app narrowly focused on scenario based speaking practice, where each scenario is broken into goals that guide the conversation, and you can pause, translate, and respond as you progress. You can create your own scenarios or use daily auto generated, news based scenarios, so you never really run out of things to discuss.
News based scenarios are especially great because they let you practise the language while also getting a feel for what’s happening in politics, sport, culture, and everyday life in countries where your target language is spoken.
If you’re learning a language, I’d love to know what kind of speaking practice you wish you had more of, or what has been working for you.
