Boost your privacy and productivity by blurring your main screen when you're looking away. Whether someone approaches to chat or you're focused on a second screen for too long, the app automatically blurs your display and reduces distractions.
This is very interesting @piotr_walas, congrats on the launch 🙌 I'm wondering how responsive it is when we look back at the monitor. Is it like near instant from your experience, or does it take a second or two to focus back? I noticed one small spelling: "[Win only, MacOS/Linux comming]", should be "coming" with one 'm'. All the best with this :)
@owenfar well, it uses EyeGestures library under the hood (https://eyegestures.com/) which basically tracks your gaze. You do not need to focus nor wait, as soon as your gaze is back in work area (you main display) it unblurs display.
My fingers sometimes press too quickly too many letters! Typo fixed! Thanks.
It's a nice idea. I'd encourage to not present the user with a CC form as soon as they land though, work them up with a value prompt, maybe a teaser, or a trial, before asking for cc details. I'm positive you'd see higher clickthrough and if the product is good, you'll have better conversion
@jalcantara you are 100% right. This is just super tiny side-project to side-project, so I did not expect more than 3 upvotes. I have scheduled launches on other platforms too, so definitely there will be better introduction to the project further on the line.

@sonia_ponzo definitely have to think about screen lock!
Report
@sonia_ponzo The screen lock feature is genius. Now you don't have to choose between a short lock time (which interrupts you reading something important) or a long lock time (which lowers security).
Instead, the screen can easily auto-lock after a few minutes of not looking at it.
@piotr_bartoszek you gotta do it! :)
@piotr_bartoszek@erik_edhagen1 after the day I've just had, I'll take that genius without pushing back lol - but I agree, I think employers would be on it, especially for those working in the office (I remember once in an old job we were audited and infosec was terrified of people not remembering to lock their screens during the audit if they stepped away from their desks!). This is of particular interest to companies dealing with delicate health data
For those who purchased the app but were unable to download it, we apologize for the inconvenience—a download link was accidentally missing. The issue has been fixed, so please check your product page again. If the problem persists, feel free to contact me at contact@eyegestures.com.
