Most budgeting apps show your household total. Useless when you split bills with a partner. Ember fixes that. Set your share on each bill individually — every total shows your actual money, not the household pot. Plus: savings projections up to 20 years, UK take-home calculator with 2025/26 tax rates, spending tracker, and 5 themes. PWA — installs like a native app. UK invite-only.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Nico — I built Ember because me and my girlfriend split bills and I couldn't find a single app that could tell me what my actual share was. Everything just showed household totals. So I spent six months of evenings fixing that.
The core feature: set your percentage on each transaction individually. Mortgage 50%, car finance 100% mine, her subscriptions 0%. Every total you see is your money only.
It also has savings projections up to 20 years with compound interest, a UK take-home pay calculator with 2025/26 tax rates, a spending money tracker, and 5 themes because I wanted something that actually looks good enough to open every day.
It's a PWA so it installs on your phone like a native app — no App Store, no Play Store.
Currently invite-only for UK users. Happy to answer anything — especially curious if anyone else has hit the same problem with tracking shared finances.
