Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Michal, a product designer from Czechia.

At home we sometimes struggle to fall asleep, and we kept quietly borrowing our son's white-noise toy at night. So I built Dimly in my evenings.

What it does:

- you jot down what can wait till morning

- you pick a calm sound (23 of them, and yes, white noise)

- the screen fades to dim red, then to black

What it deliberately doesn't do: no sleep tracking, no scores or streaks, no account, no ads. Nothing leaves your phone, and the sound fades out by default.

It was also my test of how far a designer can get alone today. The whole thing, app, design and website, was built with Claude Code on React Native + Expo. About a week from idea to the first App Store approval.

Android is in open beta, two steps:
