Hello PH Community, I'm Koushik Roy, an indie maker, and this is my first product. I built Diarist because I believe many of us struggle with late-night thoughts—whether it's overthinking, self-doubt, or stress. When I started reflecting on my day before bed, it helped me realize my progress and gave me peace of mind. I wanted to create something that helps others do the same. With Diarist, you can: 📝 Journal your daily thoughts and actions 🎯 Set meaningful goals and milestones 🌱 Reflect on your journey to gain clarity Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

@koushik_roy6 Cheers on the launch of Diarist!

@koushik_roy6 absolutely hitting the target with "late night thoughts". I am just curious would it also create actionable tasks out of the journaling users will do?
Koushik Roy
@prad_vv Thanks ! Currently, Diarist focuses on capturing reflections and emotions, but turning journal entries into actionable tasks is an interesting idea. It’s something I’ll consider for future updates to help users take action on their reflections.

@owenfar Thank you so much for the congratulations and feedback! I’m glad you like the design and pricing options. Diarist focuses on providing a dedicated space for personal reflection with features like mood tracking and a time capsule, which are designed to enhance the journaling experience. While Notion and Dropbox Paper are versatile tools, Diarist aims to offer a more specialized experience for capturing and reflecting on personal thoughts. Diarist uses Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure that user data is protected. These policies are enforced at the database level, so no one—neither on the server nor the client side—can access the content without user permission.

@koushik_roy6 Great idea, Koushik! Diarist seems like a valuable tool for anyone looking to improve their self-awareness and productivity. Here are a few questions: - Can users customize the journal prompts or add their own? - Does Diarist integrate with other productivity or journaling tools? - How does Diarist ensure the privacy and security of user data? As a developer, I'm interested in the technical aspects of the app. Here are some ways I could potentially contribute: - Exploring additional features like mood tracking, habit tracking, or goal visualization. - Developing tools to help users analyze their journal entries and identify patterns or trends. - Integrating Diarist with other productivity or mindfulness apps. I'd be happy to try Diarist and provide feedback. Let me know if you're open to collaboration or have any specific questions.

Hey @koushik_roy6, love the idea behind Diarist! Quick question—does it support syncing across devices? Would be awesome if I could access my entries from multiple places. Thanks!
Koushik Roy
@danielharrison Hey, thanks for the kind words! Yes, Diarist is accessible from any device with an internet connection, so you can easily view and update your entries from multiple devices. Your data stays synced in the cloud, so everything is up to date no matter where you log in from!

Hey Koushik, I really like the idea behind Diarist, especially the Time Capsule feature for reflecting on past goals. How does Diarist handle the security and privacy of the data users input? How does it compare with the Journal app on iOS? Congrats on the launch!

Looks like a cool app for self-reflection! I like the Time Capsule feature - that could be fun to look back on. One thing I'd love to see is a mood tracking graph or some kind of visual representation of your progress over time. Also, have you considered adding a mobile app? It'd be great to jot down thoughts on the go. Keep up the good work!
Koushik Roy
@andyroamer I'm really glad you like the Time Capsule feature! I’m actually working on adding visual progress tracking. Once that's ready, it'll definitely be added. As for a mobile app, it's something I’ve thought about, but since I’m working solo, it might take a little time to get there. Appreciate the support and your suggestions!

Diarist is a fantastic tool for capturing thoughts and tracking personal growth through journaling! I’m curious—will future updates include mood analytics or progress charts to visually track emotional trends and goal achievement over time?
Koushik Roy
@annaho2000 Thanks for your kind words! I’ve actually been working on some features that will include mood analytics and visual progress charts. The idea is to help users track emotional trends and see how their goals evolve over time. It’s definitely in the pipeline for future updates! Stay tuned for more 😊

@koushik_roy6 Kudos on the launch of Diarist, Koushik! It's a fantastic initiative to help people manage their thoughts and goals. From my experience, the app's interface is user-friendly, but I wonder if you've thought about integrating thought-provoking prompts or a progress tracker to enrich the journaling process. Your vision for future updates is intriguing—any hints on what's next on the roadmap?
Koushik Roy
@zephyrion Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! I’m glad you find Diarist user-friendly. I’m currently developing a visual progress tracking feature. Integrating thought-provoking prompts is a great idea and something I’ll consider for future updates.

Hey @koushik_roy6, really excited about Diarist! The Time Capsule feature caught my eye – seems like a perfect way to revisit cherished memories. Curious, how does it differentiate from other journaling apps when it comes to privacy and data security? Would love to see more integration options perhaps with social platforms to capture those moments directly. It’s a neat tool for self-reflection and personal growth, tying in nicely with current trends towards mental health and wellness apps. Keep up the great work!
