Most devs check GitHub, Hacker News, DEV and Hugging Face out of habit. DEV·TV turns them into 10 live channels that play on their own, like TV. Glance, catch one story, get back to coding. Leave it on an office screen or a remote team's always-on tab and it becomes shared context: everyone sees what's rising, and anyone can point and ask "did you see this?" One HTML file: no backend, no login, no build step. Real source data, built-in reader, no AI summaries. Free and MIT-licensed.

The first DEV·TV Community Spotlight is out, and the next slot is open.
If you're building something for developers and want it on the broadcast, drop it below or email devtv.developers@gmail.com with:
- Project name
- One-line tagline
- Short description (2–3 sentences)
- Your name or handle
- Your link (a GitHub repo or a plain website both work)
- Up to 5 tags (optional)
- A demo video (optional)
I'll pick the next one and put it on air next to GitHub trends and Hacker News. If it's a GitHub project, your README shows right on the TV, and you get a personal link that opens DEV·TV tuned straight to your project.
Free, picked by hand, no ads. No pitch deck. Just show me what you're building.

flipped through a few channels and the static/scanline effect actually sells it, it doesn't feel like a dashboard pretending to be a TV. the HN channel pulled a real headline while I was watching, not a cached demo. only thing I'd want is a per-channel refresh interval, GitHub trending moves way slower than HN so 10 channels on the same clock feels a bit off.
@galdayan Yeah that was one of the things I intentionally worked on to give it more of a retro TV feel. I really wanted it to feel like an actual TV experience rather than a dashboard pretending to be one.
And thanks for the important feedback on the refresh intervals . HN and GitHub definitely don't move at the same pace, so having per-channel refresh intervals makes sense. I’ll look into adding that.
Love how DEV-TV reframes doomscrolling into a calm ambient glance, letting devs stay in the loop without ever leaving flow.
@ilko_kacharov Thanks Ilko, that's exactly what I was going for. I wanted something you look at for two seconds and go back to work, not another feed that pulls you in. Glad it came across that way.
