How does the self-hosted setup actually work day to day, do I need to keep my VPS running 24/7 for strategies to execute or can it run on a schedule?

Yes, the VPS must run 24/7 because crypto markets operate around the clock, and the bot needs constant WebSocket connections to catch signals and manage open positions.
However, day-to-day maintenance is practically zero. It all runs autonomously inside Docker containers. You just open the web dashboard from your laptop or phone to check stats or create new strategies.
And while the server runs 24/7, you can absolutely build logic into your strategies to only trade on a specific schedule or during specific market sessions!
