Three years running cold email infra for IT services clients taught me the failure mode isn't setup — it's silent decay. Mailboxes pass warmup, then hit a blacklist three weeks in, and nobody notices until reply rates crater. We ended up running manual weekly deliverability audits because no tool surfaced problems fast enough. If your blacklist monitoring pushes alerts the moment something flips instead of burying it in a dashboard, lead with that. Dashboards get ignored.
