Hi everyone 👋 I built Deep Work because I realized I was spending plenty of time working, but not always making meaningful progress. A few messages, emails, or quick distractions were enough to break my focus, and getting back into a deep state of work often took longer than I expected. After reading Deep Work by Cal Newport and experimenting with focus sessions, reducing context switching, and reflecting on my work habits, I noticed a real improvement. So I decided to build a tool for myself. Deep Work is intentionally simple: • Create focused work sessions • Get reminders when it's time to start • Reflect on whether each session was focused or distracted • Review your focus patterns over time I also wanted to remove as much friction as possible, so the app includes widgets, Live Activities, Siri, and Shortcuts support. My goal wasn't to build another productivity system. I wanted something lightweight that helps people protect their attention and spend more time on meaningful work.
