@dmitrykotlyarenko Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately it's a pretty big problem. So, on the bigger scale, you're right. We need to get some laws changed to really make a dent. But in the meantime, this at least will give users some power on a case by case basis. And on that level, case by case, it will stop the collectors. The law is very specific on that, and actually opens them up to some pretty big fines if they fail to follow the rules after they get a demand letter.

@gb2gpisnoopy That’s certainly an option but we think our way is far better. If you do it yourself you have to download the form letter from the CFPB/FTC, enter your information manually, print it, package it, go to the post office, fill out a certified mail receipt, pay $4.05 for certified mail, then track it manually on the USPS website.
